Get Dead Space Ignition Free

Dead Space Ignition is a downloadable xbox live arcade and playstation network game that bridges the gap between Dead Space 1 and Dead Space 2.  I'll be honest, it kind of sucks, but you have to play it because it's a Dead Space game and it will help you understand the story better.

Don't worry though, because you won't have to spend any money on it.  If you've already preordered Dead Space 2 or if you're planning on preordering it (and let's face it, if you're reading this, you'd better!) then you can get it for free.  A free download code will be given out for Ignition with all Dead Space 2 preorders.  Just make sure you ask for it when you preorder the game and you can play this for free, and maybe it will help hold you over until the 25th.  Also, don't forget to check out the dead space 2 cheats for single player when the game launches.

Dead Space 2 Demo and Release Date

The wait is almost over.  It's so close it's killing me, but these dates assure us that we'll have Dead Space 2 in our hands soon.

The Dead Space 2 demo is already out!!  As soon as you get done reading this post, go download it.  It's available for free on xbox live and the playstation network, and trust me, it's awesome!  I've played through it 5 times already, and it's just made me want the full game even more.

Speaking of the full game, the Dead Space 2 release date is January 25th, which is just one day from today, so happy one week till release date everyone!

Now the question is how many times can I play the demo in one week?

Official Dead Space 2 Trailer has Arrived!

Check out this trailer of Dead Space 2 that dropped at E3.  If this doesn't get you pumped up for the game then you have no soul.  The game is going to be scary, it's going to be fun, and as this trailer shows us it's going to be epic!

Who got the Multiplayer in my Dead Space?

In a somewhat surprising announcement, it looks like Dead Space 2 will feature an online multiplayer gametype.  This goes with the trend of recent single player franchises adding online multiplayer in their sequels (Uncharted 2 and Bioshock 2 have already done the same), and also fits with EA's statement that online multiplayer is a necessity of the future for games.

Still, this Dead Space fan is wary.  Dead Space is not a game that seems like it would handle mutliplayer well.  It's slow paced, and its biggest boon is it's ability to scare.  With multiplayer, both of those elements must be removed in favor of fast paced action, which has always been the biggest weakness of the franchise.

When asked about the addition to add multiplayer, EA said that they wanted to give players the opportunity to play as the bad guys (the Necromorphs) which, I admin, sounds pretty cool.  Still though, I'm worried that the time spent working on the muliplayer component of the game will mean the developers have less time to spend on the most important part of the game, the single player campaign.  Only time will tell.
